Akkor mondhatjuk teljes szívből, hogy igazán megismertük a Magyar Olaj- és Gázipari Múzeumot, ha a Falumúzeum melletti kiállításokat követően felkeressük a Wlassics Gyula utcai irodaházat.
Itt nézhetjük meg Dr. Papp Simon geológus, egyetemi tanár emlékszobáját – az akadémikust a magyarországi nagyipari méretű szénhidrogén-bányászat megteremtőjeként is tisztelhetjük. A kutatóknak érdemes tudni, hogy Zala megye legnagyobb állományú szakkönyvtárát is itt találják. És ha legek: 600 féle bányász söröskorsó, 1600 érme, plakett is „megbújik” az épületben, az ország legtöbb Szent Borbálát ábrázoló gyűjteményével egyetemben, melyet időszaki kiállítások alkalmával tárnak a közönség elé. Ezen alkalmakkor bemutatják a múzeum birtokában lévő minikönyveket is. Ugyan rengeteg minikönyve van az intézménynek, a legkülönlegesebb mégis a Japánból származó relikvia, amely három darab 2 x 2 x1 mm (!) méretű, 16 oldalas könyvecskét tartalmaz – a barna, kék és piros borítójú példányok számítanak a világ legkisebb könyveinek.
A további legekről az 1969-ben megnyitott múzeumi kiállítások regélnek a Falumúzeum utcában.
One can only say to have truly acquainted with the Hungarian Petroleum Museum after having had studied the Village Museum of Göcsej in depth followed by the rich collection of the institution located on Wlassics Gyula Street.
The memorial room of Dr Simon Papp geologist, academician and university professor can be visited here – we owe him the industrial-scale hydrocarbon mining in Hungary. A piece of useful information for researchers: the largest library of Zala County is also to be found here. Let us carry on with World Records: 600 types of miners’ beer mugs, 1,600 coins and plaques are also “tenants” of the building, along with most of the country’s collections depicting Saint Barbara, which is presented to the public at temporary exhibitions. On these occasions, the mini-books in the possession of the museum are also presented. Although the institution has plenty of miniature books, the most special one is a relic from Japan, which contains 3 volumes of 16-page booklets 2 x 2 x 1 mm (!) sized – the brown, blue and red-covered copies are some of the smallest books in the world.
The museum exhibitions opened in 1969 in the Village Museum Street tell the tales of the rest of the records…
Besuch: nur nach Voranmeldung.
It is open to visitors only at dates prearranged.
