Established 7 July 2011, the Association’s main aim is to develop partnerships and joint interests in both the public and private sectors with the tourism industry by:
• Bringing together individuals involved in regional tourism in a professional capacity
• Actively representing regional tourism interests
• Ensuring effective regional marketing
• Boosting the region’s tourism by increasing the numbers of visitors to the region
• Increasing the income from visitors and encourage more affluent tourism
• Extending the tourist season, increase pre and post season visitor numbers and lengthen the duration of visits
• Developing new and existing products for the tourist market
