This imposing inner cortile of the Quarterhouse has been the setting for culture lovers to enjoy concerts and theatre productions for many years. Between 1981 and 1983, there was the programme of the Musical Courtyard (Zenélő Udvar) and in 2000/2001 there was the Courtyards Festival (Udvarok Fesztivál).

In this tradition, since 2007, the Quarterhouse has proudly and consistently offered the ‘Summer Series of Cultural Events’ featuring theatre, music and dance. In 2013, the summer programme cavalcade expanded to include (ZAKO) the Zalaegeszeg Contemporary Arts Festival (ZAKO – ZAlaegerszegi KOrtárs Művészeti Fesztivál).
