An unusual monument stands before the Erdődy–Hüvös manor and the Church of the Holy Name of Mary: a bronze tablet on a fragment of wall evoking a Romanesque arch commemorates the 614th anniversary of the settlement’s first recorded mention—its seal features a relief of a cross. The monument was inaugurated in 2000.
The memorial column was crafted by stone mason Imre Kupó according to the design of István Jakab. The tablet bearing Botfa’s first seal is the work of Ferenc Farkas.
