The memorial room of Dr Simon Papp geologist, academician and university professor can be visited here – we owe him the industrial-scale hydrocarbon mining in Hungary. Let us carry on with World Records: 600 types of miners’ beer mugs, 1,600 coins and plaques are also “tenants” of the building, along with most of the country’s collections depicting Saint Barbara, which is presented to the public at temporary exhibitions. On these occasions, the mini-books in the possession of the museum are also presented. Although the institution has plenty of miniature books, the most special one is a relic from Japan, which contains 3 volumes of 16-page booklets 2 x 2 x 1 mm (!) sized – the brown, blue and red-covered copies are some of the smallest books in the world.
