Tavasszal rengetegen keresik fel Csácsbozsokot, hogy medvehagymát gyűjtsenek, bizonyos napokon túrát is szerveznek a városrész növényszakértői.
A közelmúltban közkedveltté vált medvehagyma szezonjában a zalaiak kedvelt fűszernövénye. A barnamedvék előszeretettel fogyasztják terméseit, olykor még a föld alól is kiássák – erről kapta a nevét ez az évelő növény, mely április-májusban virágzik. Erősen fokhagymaillatú leveleit virágzás előtt szedik és használják fel. Gyűjtésekor fontos az óvatosság, mert a medvehagyma könnyen összetéveszthető a mérgező májusi gyöngyvirággal, illetve az őszi kikericcsel.

Wild Garlic Tours in Csácsbozsok
In springtime lots of visitors head to the Csácsbozsok district to collect wild garlic. On certain days local plant experts also organize guided tours in the area.
Wild garlic has recently become a very popular seasonal plant in Zala County and is widely used as a favourite spice or herb by locals. Bears are well-known to enjoy its bulbs so much that they sometimes even dig them out of the ground, which is where the plant got its name from. This perennial plant blooms in April and May. Its strongly garlic-scented leaves are harvested before flowering and used in cooking.
When collecting wild garlic, caution is important, as it can easily be confused with the poisonous lily of the valley or autumn crocus.
